Our Refund Policy
Refunds
Once you have paid for your course using our online platform, or by payment made to any of our bank accounts you will not be eligible to receive a refund.
We are able to postpone bookings for your 1 week orientation program or your 4 week inclass course for up to one year, but we only allow two changes from the initial date you have requested.
Although access to the online course is only allowed for 6 months, we are also able to allow access to be extended for 12 months in the event of an emergency.
This needs to be requested in writing via email to info@teflonthebeach.com
No refunds shall be granted if the student or client has been found guilty of breaking any of the rules in the policies of Teflonthebeach, specifically under the policy for Malpractice, or this document.
Furthermore, you hereby acknowledge and agree to our business utilization of Third Parties and sponsors, and failure on their behalf shall not constitute reason for a refund from Teflonthebeach.
Please take note of the following non-negotiable terms and conditions that apply to all services provided by TEFL on the Beach.
1. The orientation and placement package comes with guaranteed job placement, and the job is only guaranteed in Thailand, no other county
2. The orientation and placement package comes with guaranteed job placement, the guarantee is only for the start of the 1st semester in Thailand (May each year) and all other months that placement is done, is at the client’s own risk.
3. If the client decides to simultaneously seek employment whilst under contract with TEFL on the Beach, the client will not be entitled to a refund.
4. Any expenses for arrival in placement country, or expenses whilst there are the clients own and TEFL on the Beach will not be held liable for it
5. TEFL on the Beach does not guarantee specific areas for placements, only the country, Thailand. Positions may be available in all parts of the country and should the client reject the area, they in turn refuse service from TEFL on the Beach and this will not constitute reason for a refund
6. TEFL on the Beach does not guarantee specific salary for placements, only that the salary will be market related. Should the client reject the salary, they in turn refuse service from TEFL on the Beach and this will not constitute reason for a refund
7. While we are able to and sometimes encourage placements of couples and couples with families, we do not guarantee that this placement will be in the same school or the same area.
8. The services listed in the orientation and placement package are only in conjunction with the job placement. Should the client reject the placement, the client will not be entitled to any the reminder of the services, except the thai culture and language course and the welcome pack online orientation. The client will also not be refunded for the other series separately
9. Clients over the age of 50 or clients with a weak accent are not allowed to sign up for the guaranteed job placement option with the orientation and placement package, and will be refunded immediately if they do, less any expenses incurred. These clients are to sign up for the Orientation and placement package excl guaranteed placement.
10. Failure to complete the required onboarding documents, interviews, or preparation steps by the client within the designated time frame may result in a forfeiture of job placement and will not qualify the client for a refund.
11. TEFL on the Beach cannot be held liable for visa denials, immigration issues, or delays caused by embassies or government institutions. These do not constitute grounds for a refund.
12. In cases where clients behave unprofessionally or violate the code of conduct during the placement process or orientation, TEFL on the Beach reserves the right to cancel the placement without a refund.
13. Refunds will not be issued due to personal circumstances, including changes in family situations, travel preferences, or sudden changes of mind.
14. By enrolling in the orientation and placement package, the client agrees to these terms and conditions in full, and is responsible for reviewing all policies prior to payment.
15. TEFL on the Beach is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by the teacher that fall outside of the scope of the services we provide directly. This includes, but is not limited to: work permit fees, visa documentation, travel expenses, medical checks, insurance, and other administrative or personal costs.
16. Reimbursement for costs such as work permits or related school-based documentation is only processed upon successful completion of the teacher’s full contract term, as agreed with the placement school. Any reimbursements are subject to the policies of the individual schools and are not guaranteed by TEFL on the Beach.
17. Teachers are responsible for familiarizing themselves with their individual school’s contract and policies. TEFL on the Beach acts as a placement facilitator and is not liable for school-specific rules, changes in policy, or contract terms once placement has been finalized.
